Exploring works of art has never been so immersive and personal. Boulevard AR offers a unique experience, bringing art to you no matter where you are. Now, this incredible platform showcases three significant paintings from London's National Portrait Gallery collection.
Featuring the likes of Dorothy Hodgkin, a 20th-century Nobel-Prize winning chemist, the renowned 19th-century painter and poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti accompanied by his friend, the critic and novelist Theodore Watts-Dunton, and lastly, Sir Henry Unton, a diplomat and soldier from the Elizabethan era. Boulevard AR's collection spans an impressive 400 years, revealing secrets and captivating stories.
Delivered by curators from the National Portrait Gallery themselves, the immersive experiences offer guided narration that explores select aspects of these fascinating artworks. You can place any of the portraits on your own wall or in a space of your choosing, allowing for an up-close and personal examination of their intricate details. Tap to activate unique elements within each painting, while the added music and layered effects create augmented reality encounters with history that are both meaningful and complete.
